COSLA Position on Access to Broadband

(Broadband as a Human Right)

Because it is necessary for the full and equitable participation in our world, COSLA sufficient broadband access is a universal human right.  In our role to support universal information access, libraries are critical to realizing this right.

Advocacy engagement strategies:

  • Increase Federal Funding
  • Support and Expand e-Rate Program
  • Support Net Neutrality (restoration)
  • Oppose CIPA
  • State-level Engagement
